Bengaluru, 3 December (IANS). The Bangalore Central Crime Branch police have arrested two drug peddlers and seized 1,000 licaric acid diethylamide (LSD) blots from them. Their price is around 50 lakh rupees.
According to the police, the accused have been identified as Rahul (26) and Darshan (22), residents of Banashankari Layout in the city.
Police said that the accused used to purchase these LSD blots from Poland via Darknet.
Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime), Bangalore, said, “They may look like simple colored paper, but these LSD strips are highly addictive.”
He said that the CCB Anti-Narcotics Wing led by Police Inspector Virupaksha traced the drug purchase through Darknet.
After this, CCB Police has also taken computer programmer Shrikrishna alias Shriki in custody in this connection.
The Joint Commissioner said that one of the accused Shriki was arrested in another drug case. He too has been taken into police custody again for 13 days, as in this case he also helped these two accused in purchasing drugs through Darknet.
