A 6-year-old boy bit his lower lip and received 20 stitches after allegedly offending a bitch in heat.

Xiaoliang, a 6-year-old boy from Huangji Town, Hongze District, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, was thrown to the ground and bitten by a one-meter-tall female husky on New Year's Day last Saturday. Although the dog owner found out in time and dragged Xiaoliang out from under his dog, Xiaoliang's lower lip had been bitten and almost torn off, and his ears and forehead were also injured in many places. Xiaoliang's grandmother questioned that the dog involved was in estrus, and Xiaoliang might have angered the male dog next to him by teasing it.

"The boy had a 4.5-centimeter wound on his lower lip, which penetrated the entire thickness, and a 2.5-centimeter wound on the left side of his forehead." The attending doctor said that at around 4 p.m. on New Year's Day, Xiao Liang's face was covered in blood when he was sent to the hospital. His entire lower lip had been dragged down, and there were obvious teeth marks on his ears. After learning that Xiaoliang was bitten by a dog, the doctor immediately injected him with vaccines and serum, and then performed surgery, including more than 20 stitches on his lower lip, 7 stitches on his ear, and 4 stitches on his left forehead. Xiaoliang is currently recovering well from his injury, but it is unknown whether there will be any scars in the future.

Xiao Liang's grandmother said that at noon on the day of the incident, Xiao Liang went to play at the neighbor's house next door after eating, and soon she heard Xiao Liang crying. She ran to take a look and was surprised to find that the neighbor's female husky was pouncing on Xiao Liang and biting her. The dog owner used both hands to beat the dog; just as the sled dog turned to bite the owner, its other hands took the opportunity to drag Xiao Liang out from under the dog. The grandmother also said that the husky may be in estrus, and it is estimated that Xiaoliang was teasing another male dog next to it and angered it.
