The body temperature of dogs and cats is usually low in the morning and high in the evening, with a daily difference of about 0.2-0.5℃. When the outside world is hot and dogs and cats eat, exercise, excitement and tension, the body temperature can temporarily increase; when dogs and cats suffer from rectal temperature measurement, there will be errors in the value of rectal temperature measurement.

The body temperature of dogs and cats is usually measured in the rectum. When measuring body temperature, first throw the mercury column of the thermometer to below 35℃, wipe it with alcohol cotton to disinfect, and apply lubricant before use. After the test dog and cat were tested, the tester raised the tail root of the dog and cat upwards with one hand and gradually inserted the thermometer into the anus of the dog and cat with the other hand.
