Everton player Gallish was interviewed by Sky Sports and talked about his decision to transfer to Everton, the outside world's views on him, his time at Manchester City and new coach Moyes.

Some people questioned your decision to join Everton at the beginning. What do you think about this?

People said to me, "What are you doing in Everton?" and I wanted to say, "What do you mean?". This is a wealthy club.

What prompted you to make this decision? What do you hope to find in Everton?

When I feel loved, I can only perform at my best. I am actually very vulnerable under the court. I hope to go to a place where I can feel love again, a place where I wake up and want to play football with a smile.

The outside world has a love "party" view of you. Does this bother you?

Obviously, people have an inherent opinion of me, but the thing I love to do is playing football. Whether on the training ground, I just love playing football. People would say, “He loves to go out and loves to party”, and I do. I also want to be able to live my own life and enjoy myself, but doing these things requires distinguishing the time and occasion.

Looking back at Manchester City, especially in the last season, what do you think?

To be honest, I may not have chosen the right time. For example, when I was at Manchester City, sometimes I did not take care of myself, and I was willing to publicly admit this, but I don’t think that’s the whole reason. People asked me, "What happened at Manchester City?" But I had a great two years there. In the first year, I was still adapting to everything. I joined the franchise with such a high transfer fee, and I also had to adapt to the head coach's tactical style and environment.

The second year we won the triple crown and it was an incredible year. I like it very much. In the third year, I really felt that it was my fault, and I felt that I didn’t do something well in that year.

What role has head coach Moyes played in helping you get back to form?

Thanks to him (Moyes), he gave me this platform to play football the way I have always been. I don't say that out of arrogance, but I do like the coach saying to me, "You're the player, do what you want to do." I would rather someone say to me, "Jack, when you get the ball, just play freely." That's what he told me. Of course, you also have your tasks, and the role you need to play when you don’t have the ball, but he said to me, “When you get the ball, do what you want to do.”
