Yesterday, a Portuguese magazine released the cover, part of which was a photo of Ruben Neves and Jota's wife very close.
Portuguese media cover content: Ruben Neves, Rutt. Meeting after death is like Diogo Jota's wife leaning on her best friend.
Neves angrily scolded under the magazine's social media:
Good afternoon. I have always believed that human nature is good, although some people remind me not to do so, and although I have been deceived by it, I never want anyone to suffer misfortune.
But those who put this photo on the cover of a magazine will not be happy, just as bad as the choice itself.
My wife and I have been together for over 11 years and we are very happy and have a family that I am proud of. We have never been involved in any controversy during these 11 years.
We have been doing our best to help Rute (Jota's wife) and her family. The choice of this photo is as unfortunate as the person who chose it, and so is the person who posted it. I respect everyone who has their own job and everyone who wants to do their best, but I do not respect those who do not respect others.
Again, I am proud of having my wife and family. We are proud of the power that Rute has shown and will always support her, whatever it takes. She knows it all. Thank you
