The reporter wrote: "It is understood that potential buyers of Sheffield Wednesday may be asked to submit formal offers before the end of this month. Seven different groups have demonstrated that they have £50 million of financial support to move the club forward, but this is not the sales price."
"The deal is likely to proceed through a sealed bid. Although there is still a lot of work to be done, there are positive signs."
