According to British media talkSPORT, English New Year team Cheltenham recently announced the firing of coach Flynn with a statement of only 48 words.
Coincidentally, the coach predicted his dismissal after losing 0-3, but the ending came so quickly - the club announced his departure a few hours later.
Cheltenham wrote in a statement: "Cheltenham Town confirmed that we have parted ways with coach Flynn due to his loss to Oldham today. All members of the club thanked him for his efforts and contributions during his tenure and wished him all the best in the future."
Flynn's dismissal does not seem to be big news for himself, because he told the BBC after losing that the result of a game similar to the 0-3 loss to Oldham will often lead to misfortune.
Flynn said himself: "This performance will make you fire, and I can't be more honest than that. I can be responsible for certain facts, but I won't blame myself just for the performance of these players today."
When asked if I think I'll be off class soon, Flynn said: "I hope not, because I really like the team and enjoy working here. But this is a result-oriented business, and I'm not stupid. I'm the one who comes here to speak publicly and honestly. For better or worse, the situation must improve."
"If I'm still in the coach position, they have to act quickly to make changes."
A few hours later, the club announced Flynn's get out of class was dismissed.
Cheltenham has only scored 4 points in nine league games this season, firmly occupying the bottom position in the League Two. Their next game will be heading to Greensby, who eliminated United in the penalty shootout in the League Cup a few weeks ago.
