Market news has been released, and Samsung Electronics will begin supplying 12-layer HBM3E memory to NVIDIA. In response to this, Samsung Electronics responded only to "uncertified".
According to exclusive reports from Korean media Alpha Economy, NVIDIA and Samsung Electronics have recently reached a agreement to supply 12-layer HBM3E stacked memory.
Theagreement pointed out that NVIDIA will soon receive about 30,000 to 50,000 12-layer HBM3E memory from Samsung Electronics. It is known that Samsung's HBM3E 12-layer memory will be used in water-cooled servers.
However, Samsung has been sending out the HBM3E verification card before. According to previous market news, Samsung failed to pass the third NVIDIA 12-layer HBM3E chip certification in June this year, and the fourth certification time was released in September.
According to current industry insiders, Samsung should not have passed the certification yet. Therefore, it is recommended to take this exclusive news carefully.
At the same time, Samsung is currently experiencing the production costs of the HBM3E, a high-frequency wide memory, to compete for the NVIDIA order. The company said, "Considering the rising trend of general DRAM prices in the second half of the year, it is expected that the profit gap between HBM3E and general DRAM will shrink quickly."
