Islamabad, 5 December (IANS). Coronavirus cases in Pakistan have increased by at least 3,119 cases in the last 24 hours. The number of daily infections for the third consecutive day has been recorded at over 3,000.
According to a report by Geo News, corona cases in Pakistan have increased by more than 3,000 in the past five days in three days and the total number has reached 413,191.
In the last 24 hours, Sindh recorded the highest number of 1,664 cases, while 540 in Punjab, 419 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 353 in Islamabad, 68 in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), 59 in Balochistan, and 16 in Gilgit Baltistan. (GB) 16 cases were reported.
The number of active cases has increased to 52,359 with 2,441 patients in critical care.
NCOC data showed that 352,529 people have been cured so far.
On Friday, at least 44 people died due to the virus, raising the total number of deaths to 8,303.
The maximum deaths occurred in Punjab as 22 people have died across the province due to the virus.
At least 10 people died in KP, eight in Sindh, two in Islamabad, and one patient died in PoK.
